This plant has a deep history in French Provencal tradition where it grows in the Alpes de Haute-Provence, on sunny mountain slopes at an altitude of between 600 and 1700 meters. Rosemary Oil is an essential oil obtained from the flowering tops and leaves of the Rosemary, Rosmarinus officinalis L., Lamiaceae.
